At $200, you are getting top grain leather, at best. This is supposed to be full grain sheepskin, which means that it is the full thickness of the hide. Also, lambskin and sheepskin are often used interchangeably. While different animals have fundamentally different skins with fundamentally different qualities, it's hard to judge unless you have actually seen the skins in question. That said, yes, if I am going to be hauling ass through the woods, I wear my horsehide jacket, and would leave the lamb for another day.
