Yes, guys can get yeast infections, too.

I have been bothered by a rash in my crotch for the past few months. It was basically on both sides of my nutsack. It formed a shiny raised red skin. I figured it was jock itch so I treated it with OTC lamisil, then moved on to tolnafate and my latest was tinactin. All to no avail. In particular the tinactin made it itch more when I sprayed it on. Oh, the rash also migrated to my armpits to a smaller extent.

I finally went to see the dermatologist and he told me I have some sort of yeast infection. He gave me a ketoconazole cream, desonide cream, and an oral antibiotic, cephalexin. The keto cream has made it itch less so that must be working. I don't like taking the antibiotic b/c it loosens my stools almost diahreah like.

Anybody ever get this? I really want to stop taking the antibiotic.

Several years ago I had a rashlike area on my arm that didn't go away. It was a little itchy.
I finally went to the doctor and he said it was a yeast infection and he gave me a prescription for some cream.
Got the prescription filled. It was a tube of something and the prescription sticker covered the original label.
I peeled off the prescription sticker a few days later. The original label read "fill applicator and insert into vagina" or something like that.

It was not manly.
