pilonidal cysts?

Sp I was diagnosed with a pilonidal cyst yesterday. luckily, I discovered the "cyst" myself and it hasn't gotten to the point where its inflamed and i was brought into the ER kicking and screaming. I have an appointment with a specialist tomorrow morning.

Anyone here ever have to deal with this? Reading stories online have freaked me the f**k out.

As long as you don't have sinuses, you don't have to worry about it ever getting it. Although, some believe that sinuses develop after the result of trauma to the tailbone, while others think it is a birth defect, No one really knows I guess.
