I want the wingtip marlows, but only 13D is available online. If i call RL, will they be able to locate one in a different size for me?

Does anyone know if these are Alden or Allen Edmonds? I did a search, but it seems there are conflicting opinions. I need to figure out what size I should be purchasing.

The shoes in question: http://www.ralphlauren.com/product/index.jsp?productId=4360408

Here in Europe I always get Ralph Lauren slim fit shirts. But the US website doesn't carry any slim fit shirts, only custom fit. Why is that, does the US Ralph Lauren stores retail slim fit?

Thank you. I thought they looked way different too... just wanted to make sure!

edit: If anyone can tell me the sizing on these too, that'd be very helpful

From my understanding, they fit true to size. I just bought a pair (had them shipped to store) and will pick them up later this week so can let you know for sure when I do.

As for the maker, based on other threads it seems most believe AE makes them. The other suggestion was Rancourt and co. possibly.

I was lucky, seems that someone returned navy blazer of size 40, so i ordered it with a pair of charcoal preston pants, i hope they make a good combination...

I just received the suede version.  I am a 9, but they feel about a half size too big.  Exchanging for 8.5.  YMMV.

Sanderson and Saunders are made by AE.

Thanks for the comments about the Sandersons, are they better than regular AEs? The retail is quite higher.

No. RL marks up all of their shoes to astronomical limits from all of their various makers (other than Edward Green, which they have conveniently taken off their site).

FWIW, I recently purchased the Sanderson Burnished Wingtip. When I tried the ones on in-store I noticed some unsightly creasing along the upper part of the shoe so I requested another pair be shipped to me. When they arrived they appeared new and to have not been tried on before. But after wearing around the house for a few minutes (to assess the sizing) the creases looked almost as bad as the ones in the store. Perhaps they were dry and just needed some Renovateur but given that two pairs exhibited the same problem I decided to return them. I have more than a few pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes and none of them did anything like this. Of course, YMMV.
