I didn't have the site up when I called so when he said $850 I said oh, they've gone up? He said yes they're now $850 from $795.

Pulled up the website an hour later to find it listed at $795.

Currently on the train in a "Quiet Car" so thought I'd pose the question here while I wait. .

I specifically asked if the price had gone up and he specifically said yes. Obviously I will be calling back.

I'll post the pic when I get home, but it's very generic. I don't think it will tell you much about who manufactured it.

If RL Rugby is at least half canvassed, getting a suit for 350 is a steal!

The Michigan Ave. store guys can be a bit tricky sometimes. You have to watch that they don't slip something by on you.

I think he just made a mistake (though curious how that could happen).

I bought the PTBs from the Chicago store yesterday afternoon, and they charged me $795 - discount + shipping.

I'd like to think so too, but these kind of 'mistakes' have happened to me more than once. Even if it is just an honest error, you have to be vigilant.

Yeah, I called the Georgetown store and definitely got the Marlow wingtip for $795 less discount + tax and shipping.

Spoo - the Lindrick looks awesome, now I really want it. But after spending the cash on the Marlows today I don't think I can afford the Lindrick right now, even at the discount. That and I already have the Alden x Epaulet Ravello wingtip boot on preorder :nodding:

the Lindrick boot does end being pretty similar to the Alden x Epaulet I suppose. still, I think the Lindrick is that much better than the Marlow wingtip. I guess it comes out to about $180 more or so? You can wear it in all the same situations as the shoe, but could also be a great winter boot eventually if you resoled with dainite or some low profile commando sole.

I suppose you would be slightly less likely to wear the boot vs the shoe in the summer, but I'm not sure the shoes are really perfect for the summer either

Just got back from the Chevy Chase store, they hooked me up with the pre sale even though I didn't have a card. Got their navy blazer and the darlton/marlowe wingtips. The wingtips were 795 before the sale, but I did notice the penny loafers there marked $850. If I recall the PTBs were also 795.

This is weird, I bought the PTB's today and was charged $437 which is based on $795

Interesting; FYI, I inquired about the PTB. The person told me that the price was raised since late last year.

Got excited for a second on that first one, though a look at the measurements (CHEST 43.75/LENGTH 32.5/SHOULDER TO SHOULDER 17.75/SLEEVE 26.75) would indicate that it is more likely a 40L. But then again the tags indicate 40L... maybe the measurements are wrong? didn't think that PRL fit extra slim.

The Bradford does fit slim. I own one in a 44L and the measurements are:

Shoulder: 18.5
Chest: 44
Waist: 42
Sleeve: 26

Pants
Waist: 37.5
Very slim on the leg and flat fronted.

My wife says it makes me look skinny :inlove:
