So anyone that knows me well knows that i procrastinate like a mofo. it takes me an eternity to decide and pull the trigger on a purchase...so im planning in advance. Around the first of the year im gonna pick up some new shoes. And i have a handfull of wants/needs, Heres a quick rundown of my regular rotation shoes...

Lobb Westminsters in tan calf
Lobb Towcesters in black museum calf
Sutor brogued double monks in antiqued brown
Feragammo single monk cap toe in brown pebble grain
Feragammo black trameza wholecuts in black calf
Feragammo black loafers
Feragammo black cap toe Padovas
Magnanni black cap toe double monks
random brown suede chukkas
bally brown cap toes (getting rid of em)
sperry deck shoes, one brown and one navy
Mezlan black norweigan split toes
Hugo Boss black horsebit loafers
AE park aves in black
AE Park aves in burgundy
AE Grayson tassel loafers in burgundy
vintage bostonian wholecuts in burgundy
Gucci black calf dress boots
a few random shitty cole haans i picked up in my younger days.

Theres probably a half a dozen others that im missing, but nothing that i currently wear a lot. Im thinking a pair of suede carminas would be a great addition, or maybe some suede double monks. Also wanted some crockett & jones tetbury suede chukkas to replace the crappy ones i currently wear. I know i want brown, but im lost as to style/brands. thought about some MTO G&Gs, or some edward greens....so help a brother out...im sure theres something great im completely overlooking. Would like to keep it under 1500. Unless someone will kick in some cash to help pay alimony and divorce court. lol8[1].gif

First, congrats on an awesome collection! The carmina suede is a great idea (I assume you mean the cap toes on the simpson last from the armoury). I might also suggest dress boots in brown though...also it seems like you don't really have much in the way of wingtips? the G&G wingtips at the armoury are pretty effing sweet too...are you just not a fan of wingtips?

thanks! Im pretty iffy on wingtips. I much prefer captoe or wholecuts. Ive been really pleased with my JL Westminsters, and feel that it covers my wingtip desire fairly well. And yeah, those captoe carminas are the ones i was thinking....damn spoo for that. But the price is just too good.

I've been eyeballing those Carminas for a bit myself...I already have a suede monk though, in a similar shade of brown, so I feel like I should expand elsewhere before going there. But they are gorgeous. You can't go wrong there. But just to play devil's advocate, a wholecut or captoe in a dark brown would give you a more formal shoe in brown, which you may consider blasphemy, in which case disregard, or you may have very little occasion for, but could be something to consider. Not knowing the reason behind your eschewing the bally cap toes, you may want to replace them, you may not....

BTW if you ever get up to DC (I guess the closest really big city to TN?), you'll definitely want to check out Sky Valet

closest city for good shoping is atlanta...Ive been wanting to take a ride to DC for awhile. Ill have to make sure i check out sky valet.

Brown wholecuts are a HUGE option. Also thought about some G&Gs in brown smooth calf paired with a small part in brown suede for something different. But yeah, brown wholecuts are really sounding good.

I vote for a pair of Carmina and Vass. Get something on Forest and F lasts.

You will find some G&G brown wholecuts (Grant) at Edwards of Manchester for an amazing price. And quite a few sizes still available.

The only drawback I can see is no lasted trees.

Yeah, I'm getting a pair for sure.

Just got another pair of G&Gs on the same last (TG73) a week or so ago and am very happy with them - very sleek.

Hmm good question...it might already be built in when you put your address down as USA? Grand total with shipping was 512 pounds though.
