i think the opposite. she lives near the promenade and i've seen her a few times walking the dog with her mother. sans make-up, in sweats, she is ugly.

Just because I had a huge crush on Kate in middle school after the 2nd Indiana Jones movie, I have to concur. And on the subject of older women (and beautiful PERIOD), Vanessa Williams -- one of the reason I chose Syracuse as my first pick of schools.

Uma is attractive, but it has nothing to do with her looks and doesn't qualify as beautiful.

Mean Girls is why Lindsay Lohan has a career. And I don't even like her. But I do like Rachel McAdams.

Oh, and to the comment about Kate Bosworth being overrated -- why does anyone waste time casting her in movies, because she cant act and isn't that attractive? She looks like a pledge for Kappa Kappa Gamma sorority at U. Georgia. Could be anyone of 1,000 girls at any campus and no one would take a second look.

Others not yet mentioned:

Reese Witherspoon

Aahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhaaaaaaaa! I knew it; it was just a vibe. Man, she's creepy.

By the way, I rise to the defense of Eva Longoria. That woman is H-O-T! No way is she overrated.

I'll take this for a definition of beauty -even with a paper bag on her head!

Eva Longoria is beautiful, but her personality leaves a lot to be desired. Let's just say that Tony Parker is well on his way to becoming the next Doug Christie.

Can Sarah Jessica Parker really be considered "overrated"? Does anyone know any men who think she's beautiful? The only people I know who think she's even mildly attractive are all women. Straight women, at that.

I recall thinking she was cute in L.A. Story. Now, not so much.

I don't think Sarah Jessica Parker looks bad at all.

I'd say most overrated is Angelina Jolie. She's far from ugly, but not drop dead gorgeous like most think. I guess I'm just weird.

I also don't get off on the whole cookie-cutter Americana blond thing. I need some exotic. See SJP is blonde, but with that big nose looks witchy, which I can dig.

She is rapidly becoming the Kim Cattrall of this decade, and I don't mean that in anything remotely approaching a good way. I wish she would die.

I agree with most of the women named so far. I think people think they're attractive because they're told these women are attractive. Angelina Jolie was around for years, and even did nude scenes in Gia, and no one noticed her. All of a sudden the press is filled with news stories about how Jolie was the hottest thing evar!!!1! and now everyone thinks she's attractive. Whatever.

I think Julia Roberts looks like a horse.

Sarah Jessica Parker.
Eva Longoria.
Naomi Campbell.
Kiera Knightley.

I have to leap to the defence of:
Jessica Simpson-Airhead,but I definitely would.
Kirsten Dunst-Girl next door good looks and great bangers.
Salma Hayek-Amazing.

Sarah Jessica Parker - 5' 4"
Eva Longoria - 5' 2"
Naomi Campbell - 5' 9½"
Kiera Knightley - 5' 7"
Jessica Simpson - 5' 3½"
Kirsten Dunst - 5' 7"
Salma Hayek - 5' 2"

The only one who has ok height is Naomi, and maybe Kiera and Kirsten. All the other ones are incredibly short. (and btw, these heights taken from IMDB are probably also pumped-up)

Some women look good in magazines, and maybe in movies playing with Tom Cruise.

My favorite sex bomb is Gisele Bündchen seconded my Heidi.

In any case, I think for a woman to be universally attractive on the screen, she'd have to have a wonderful well polished voice, a skill lost since Audrey Hepburn died.

Jolie, Jolie and Jolie, I don't believe she's attractive in the slightest. Well, in the face, her body is nice. Hayek is over rated some too, attractive but not a bombshell.
