I bought a new house by the sea...

Sounds good?

I need to ride a mile climb to go to work and I want to buy an electric kibe to avoid sweating like a pig when I do arrive at work..

Are they worth the money???

Which model do you own and recommend???

Are they powerful enough for a mildish mile climb?

Surely the stylish and more serene approach would be the Segway?

I have an iZip Zuma. It's pretty fast because it's the more powerful version as it has a stronger motor and a bigger battery. The one con is that the bike itself is very heavy and the battery is mounted on the back, which kills the stability of the ride. If you wobble one bit, the heavy weight on the back wheel exacerbates the sideways motion and it can get really difficult to recover.

E-bikes are the type of thing where you need to spend a bit to get a decent one.

That being said, if you're only going to be climbing a mild hill for a mile at most, you'll be just fine with one of the lower end bikes. Just don't expect it to be zippy.

it's a two and a half miles trip...

One mile of climbing , the rest flat...

The bike is 21 kg..

This comment seems to suggest better e bikes can do hills, but could be shill.

Have you thought of calling a company that makes these and asking directly? Usually they're smaller outfits and know their product well enough to answer.

The other option is witohut MOT , insurance , tax or petrol...

It's much more cost efficient.

Yes definitely!! E-bikes are far too common and for the most part have no style at all.

Here's something else to consider...

...a minibike or pocketbike.
