Would men rather know that women are dating or be lied to

I am a woman who has recently come out of a long marriage - 25yrs and is enjoying dating.  I am on a dating site.  I ask the question above as I have found that if I tell the truth and say that I am dating more than one man, some men have taken ofence.  Its not that I talk about other dates openly, but I find that if asked what my weekend was like,  and I say that I went out to dinner , or theatre or a concert then the subject tends to crop up.  If they ask who I was with do they want me to lie or say that I was on a date?  Even if we are looking for a long term relationship (which Im not at the moment) how can we meet 'the one' unless we date several.  Pretending that we are only seeing one person when I am in fact dating 2/3 guys seems like a lie to me.  I feel that if after an appropriate time that we want to be exclusive then we can discuss this and agree on it.  I would love to know men's thoughts on this. thank you.

Lie. Men are vain, we like to think we're the centre of the universe, and the beta ones will feel threatened. Would you like to be told that you're but one of many women that a man is dating?

This. Unless you're telling a man that the other man is far, far inferior. We all wish to think and be told that we are Alpha and #1.

I'd like to know so I don't feel guilty when I date other women. After that no need to mention your other dates
