I am treading old territory, yes.
But winter is upon us (in some hemispheres) and the eternal question of how to wear a knit cap with the right panache weighs heavy upon my mind.
How is this best achieved within the context of MC in 2011?
Rather than the usual hemming and hawing about flat caps, beanies, rabbit fur headdresses, and the inevitable appearance of the fedora lobby, I thought we could keep this thread delimited to a pictorial exploration of watch caps (or, if you will, beanies or toques) for the edification of all. Something along the lines of the "In praise of..." threads. The objective here being rather to dissect the good, bad, and the ugly.
I think it has something to do with the angle of inclination of the cap, but the potential to look like a buffoon is great.
Here's an image from a recent Pitti event. I don't claim it works, but it should get the ball rolling. Please post your own.
