In addition to glove sizing advice, I also need to know which COS trousers come in black, wool and are slim enough to taper to at least a 7" hem...

You should look at the trousers that have tapered fit. It's in the item description.
I can't say that this will guarantee you a 7" hem (nor can customer service), but my grey melange wool trousers (not current season cut) are the tapered fit and they're a 7" in size 48.

These seem to fit your criteria:

http://www.cosstores.com/Store/Men/Trousers/Raw_edge_wool_trousers/46905-872161.1#c-3541115

Trousers are a touch large in the waist. My 48's measured 17".

Cool, thanks! Yea, customer service is basically worthless, they keep messaging me back about sizing and measurements saying that they "don't have that info on hand" and that "an expert will contact you shortly," which they never have :(

Hey guys, on the verge of ordering these leather gloves, anyone have comment on fit? I have normal sized palms, but rather stubby fingers. Prolly like a true M in most gloves, but they only offer S/M or L/XL...Advice?
These:

I have these in L/XL but I don't see the point of giving any sizing advices in such vague terms (what is normal sized palm anyway?). Not the best leather gloves you could get but the leather is fine for the price and they have hold up well this far.

I mean, how big would you say your hands are compared to other dudes? Mine are usually comparatively sized or a bit smaller in finger length, so I assume that puts me around M

I figure S/M might be fine for you then. This is of course highly subjective but I guess I have bigger hands than average population. L/XL fits me fine or even somewhat loose, although the glove fingers are a hair too short.

Cool, that's what I was leaning towards as well. I'm just worried since I ordered a pair of Uniqlo heattech gloves in S/M and they fit like children's gloves, had to give them to my gf lol

I just called customer service about those zip gloves. The girl probably thought I was weird for asking her to give me measurements for a ******* glove, but whatever. Was funny.

They had some kind of sheet with all types of measurements for them. Like width and length of each individual finger and really in depth stuff, lol. Probably for production.

I'm not sure how much this is going to help any of you size them, but here we go:

Middle finger length: 8.1 cm for S/M, 8.7 cm for L/XL
Width of palm (widest point): 11.5 cm, 12.2 for L/XL
Total length of glove (end of ribbing to end of middle finger): 22 cm for S/M, 23.5 for L/XL
