Anyone interested in splitting an Amazon Prime membership? I have 4 slots!

My Amazon Student membership just expired, and I'm probably gonna transfer over to the regular Prime, and I'm looking for 4 other people to go in on a membership. You'd paypal me $10 and I'd add you to the 'family' portion of the membership (you can add 4 other emails of family members who get your benefits). Same as a full membership, but far, far cheaper.

Anyway, PM me. Would be $10 paypal gift.

Also hopefully this is in the correct forum.

dunno how strict they are about the family thing (they certainly weren't strict about my not actually being a student anymore) but even if you can't get people...take the $39 deal

Its good for the next 5 years...and with the streaming getting better and better (now adding fox and pbs properties) I wouldn't be surprised to see the price go up or it switch to a tiered pricing while you are locked in at $39 for the next 5 years.

yea, but I'd rather pay less than $39!

the aren't strict at all. before they came out with student, i did a 5 way split with prime since it came out

dont they have to be in the same household?

no, you can add any email

i mean address instead of household or can you add up to 4 different addresses?

oh no. they don't. it just adds prime to all the accounts - whatever the address is

I've always wondered about this. Can you access my purchase history and streaming history? I'd hate to have to see my humbler purchases and gay almost-porn preferences get out on the forum.

no. how it works is that there's an option under your prime subscription management to add 'coworkers/family members'. and you put in the email, and the account linked to the email is activated for prime. no information is shared back and forth.

how do you do this? i went to manage my prime membership (i paid the 39 dollar one) and no option to add members

I've done this before but can't find the option to add people anymore shog[1].gif

hm, wtfux. i hope they didn't get rid of this.

the FAQ says this:
Quote:
Sharing Amazon Prime Benefits
Prime members under a free trial or paid subscription can share their benefits with up to 4 additional family members living in the same household, or up to 4 coworkers to shop for the related account.

To invite family members to share your Amazon Prime membership, sign in to Your Account and click on the link to "Manage Prime Membership." You'll see your current membership details, the status of all members linked to your Amazon Prime membership, and options to add or remove members.

Amazon Student members with Amazon Prime benefits will not be able to share their benefits with additional people. Customers who receive their Amazon Prime shipping benefits through Amazon Mom can share their benefits with 1 person within or outside of their household. All existing shared household members will continue to receive shipping benefits if the primary member switches to the Amazon Prime shipping benefits offered by one of these programs, however, the primary member will not be able to add or change shared household members if they move to one of these programs.

is it not showing up?

BTW, only the primary "Amazon Prime" account holder gets free streaming video.
