I need some fall boots

I am thinking of getting a pair of clarks desert boots in beeswax, do those stand up to the fall rain?

Or should I go with the Polo rangers boots?

If this has already been posted please link me to the topic, i did a search and nothing relevant came up :\

The soles on desert boots are not good for wet weather. They're really slippery.

Wet weather? Get Bestard B3 Summit boots. When you deal with slippery surfaces, the last thing you want to do is take a fall.

Desert boots are kind of overdone. I still like them sort of, but I seem them everywhere and they are rarely worn w/ the sort of panache that elevates them from the Patagonia-wearing, Starbucks-sipping "hip modern man" level

the same could be said for jeans, button down shirts, t-shirts, blazers, etc.

You don't need boots for falling, you need a parachute.


On a serious not check one of the winte rboot threads either the 10/11 or 11/12, most of the boots in there can be used during fall, as they don't have any insulation or lining.

Desert boots in beeswax are ok in the rain but they are not waterproof at all

o bought a pair im probably gonna use them for the first part of winter then buy something else when things go on sale after the winter break
