My favorite knit ties are either 100% silk, cashmere or silk and cashmere blends. I hope they will try them.

OIC...

I confess I haven't tried cotton. But I have a "wool mohair" knit tie that I really like.

I'm not all that impressed with wool knit ties. Maybe it is the lack of sheen? Everyone I've seen looks dull. Not as nice as say a wool twill tie. Wool will also pill. But perhaps a wool blend with silk or mohair?

Thanks for posting this, PSG. I really like the dotted wool ones and would get one or two, particularly at that suggested price.

I'm a fan of wool knits in general though. I have a medium blue and a medium red that I wear a lot in the winter. I have one cotton knit that was my dad's. My sister stole it from him in the 80's and I got it in the 90's. It's held up pretty well.

We can only hope their neckties are as nice as their belts:

^^ I would prefer something a touch less subdued

I still prefer silk over cotton. With the dimple clip, I'm afraid it will easily fall off.
