Hi everyone -- I am new to this forum and equally new to wearing suits. I bought my first suit the other day -- a Banana Republic Tailored wool two-button suit in Charcoal (30% off). I have not yet picked out a shirt and tie (I am trying to research what the consensus is on this forum before I make a decision there). My question for now is this: I have read that brown shoes are in fact OK (even more than OK) to wear with gray and charcoal suits -- do the AE Stand shoes and AE Manistee belt (both in walnut) fit this bill (photo attached)? If not, are there any recommendations for brown shoes that look better with the gray of this BR suit?
