So I have a rather annoying (although avoidable, I suppose) problem. I recently thrifted a rather nice pair of Salvatore Ferragamo tan,wing tipped loafers. They look and feel in everyway fantastic, except for one slight problem;
They creak in the heel.
And I don't just mean a small creak, I mean they sound like I'm walking on damn logs. My feet literally sound like walking planks when I put them on. I would absolutely love to wear these shoes if it weren't for the loud noises they made. Is there any way I could go about fixing this problem? For a fact, I know it's coming from the heels, mainly because the heels actually move a fraction down when I pull on them (and the noise when walking, of course). It's where the heel meets the shoe (not familiar with the correct term).
Any advice on solving this problem?
