Common Projects Chukka Washed Leather sizing

I wear a 39 in common projects and they fit great, however I purchased a pair of the common projects chukka washed leather in a 39 and they seem a good size bigger...does anyone know why this is?  Have they made them bigger in the toe or is this just the design of the shoe?  I measure the the sole and its the same as my perfect fit 39's so I am wondering if anyone knows the deal?

I've been waiting for these to go on sale (Nearly all CP's do) before I buy. I'd be surprised if these are any differnet from your achilles, but it's not uncommon for boots/chukkas to fit a half size too big.
