Shoe lasts

Interested in exploring DIY shoemaking, where could I possibly get some lasts? Asked all the cobblers in town, nobody really into trade except one and he is not willing to sell my size, as it's his last :/

No access to any woodworking facility as well. Does any place sell them online?

Go to Spenle a large German lastmaker

http://spenle.de/Katalog/misc/background.html?lang=de

in their catalogue you'll find dozens of lasts, covering healthy feet as well as feet with orthopedic needs. Find a last, checking against your measurements. You'll find measurement tables in the appendix.)

All lasts come in various sizes and fittings. Alternatively, send the firm your sole shape, the standard measurements and your aesthetic wishes. Then a member of staff will select the most suitable last for you. All the lasts featured are 'stock lasts'. Their not physically in stock, but the measurements are in the computer; once an order has come in the last gets turned and dispatched within a few days.

The last might not be perfect for your feet (yet), but if you choose wisely, you will be 90% there. (The other 10% you can correct by either adding-on or taking-off.)
