Working button-holes = failing proposition.

yeah, its not great for an otr suit, but if the sleeve fits, it fits.

$500 odd is about right for a half canvassed suit. If that had a name brand or "Made in Italy" slung onto it, you would be paying north of $1000.

I dont know how it matches up against Brooks Brothers 1818 line (or hickey's half canvassed suits), but I would hazard a guess it would be there or thereabouts quality wise, and the CT suit is a great deal cheaper.

Personally I would want one in my hands before deciding to invest (and even then, with good bargain hunting you can pick up an even more decent suit for perhaps only a little more than that CT).

But if it is within your budget and you feel good about it, then pull that metaphorical credit card trigger and get it.

EDIT: And then let us know how it holds up, we like to be educated here on less familiar brands (even though CT has a decent following for shirts and ties ). Rock icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

CT has become one of my go-to brands for standard wardrobe pieces that I don't want to spend a lot of money on, such as trousers and solid-colour knitwear. I have a couple of their chinos, moleskins and slacks, and the quality is great for the price. Also, I have the impression their fabrics are higher-quality than similarly priced department store stuff. That said, I live in the sartorial desert of the Netherlands, so YMMV
