I saw this and felt it was pretty damn disappointing, but I may be holding it to a somewhat higher bar because of my experience of campaigns. I'm curious to see what others thought.
I felt the movie spiraled into unbelievability fairly quickly, couldn't decide on a thematic or stylistic tone to strike and kept shifting gears, and had a lot of basic flaws like poor cinematography and an overblown, intrusive score. From Good Night and Good Luck I thought that George Clooney was a better director than this.
