Navy Quilted Jacket

Thread Starter

So I was shopping the other day and I saw this guy wearing a really nice navy quilted jacket, with brown lining around the pockets, neck and so on, should have really asked him where he got it from, but I was too busy admiring it.

Anyway, ive tried looking and cant find it anywhere, so next solution - can people post links or know where you can get a quilted navy jack with brown lining / possible elbow patches that is well fitted (possibly slim fit).

Anyone who can, gets a cookie, and lots of love.

Thanks. :-)

p.s i live in london.

who makes this?

Lavenham makes nice slim fit models, search on asos, my wardrobe etc.

Barbour too, but not so slim.

+ 1. Looks similar to that Boggi that TRINI picked up (though not as nice).

I just picked up this quilted jacket from Ralph Lauren in navy. It's not fully lined with brown, but the inner cuffs, collar and pockets all have chocolate-brown corduroy and suede. I have only worn it twice, but definitely like it so far.

Thank you enzoangelo. That is a good shout, they also have a kempton one which is more heavy on the brown! How do you find the fit of this one? Is it snug to your body, or quite loose and bulky?

Btw, ive seen another thread like this guys, their is a quilted "wool coat" by enrico mandelli, but I cant find anywhere to purchase it. Really nice though.

@gettoasty, that one is nice, but no brown lining etc.. :(

OMG I want one.  That thing is gorgeous.

Don't know what you saw but the grail jacket you seek is this one:

367

It is called "The Wool Coat" and is made by Enrico Mandelli. He made blue last season. This season the coat is grey.

Now that you know, God speed in finding it. It's closer to you in London, but still only reliably sourced in Italy. It's also around $1,000 USD IIRC.

EDIT: Saw you mentioned this before I could post. If you are serious about finding this coat (and prepared to pay MSRP) you can reach the Mandelli showroom at (02) 29 00 29 56

Very trim, tailored fit and is cut quite short. It wears more like a mountain climbing jacket (very similar to an Arc'Teryx I own). It's alright to wear if you're tucking in a shirt under it but is not good for layering unless you size up IME.

So ill rule that out then. $1000. Jebus. My budget is more like $200-$300!

I bought the coat in a large and usually in jackets I'm a 42R and in trousers I'm a 31. It fits well through the shoulders and chest but is a bit fuller through the mid section (obviously). I wouldn't say loose or bulky, but definitely not fitted.

Cashmere quilted jackets. On some next-level, called-up-to-the-majors shit.

I got a Barbour Liddesdale last year and its really great. I knew that Barbour jackets tend to fit a little big so I got it a size smaller than I usually wear and it fits perfectly.
