Looks sharp. I know, its black and the majority here are far more pro navy, but it is very sharp. Paired with grey and other odds...

Heaps of black ones on eBay for $600. I think it would look nice with grey pants..

Over the years I've had several gabardine blazers.
They hold-up really well. As far as black, that's your
choice. However, before dropping $1300 on a web purchase,
you should try to find a shop where you can try-on the jacket.
As another poster has said, the internet is full of black blazers
at half the price.

Not for me, but see nothing wrong it; although as mentioned, you should be able to find a cheaper source.
