Does anyone still wear the classic Burberry Trench in London?

I think the title says it all.

I'm not talking about one of those new, sleek versions - I'm talking the classic, somewhat baggy knee length trench.

Leaving for London tomorrow night (second week in a row with an unexpected meeting). Thinking I'll take the old trench with the zip out lining. But wondering if these haven't become out of style in London?

They're rarely seen, I don't see many trenches full stop but when I do they tend to be the more modern clean-cut versions without the belts and epaulettes etc. That's not to say you wouldn't look stylish in it as long as it fits (I'm a little concerned by the word baggy in your post - these were originally military garments with all that implies for fit).

I see bus loads of Japanese and now Chinese people wearing ill-fitting Burberry trench coats in London all the time

so yes it is still pretty common
