What messenger bag are you guys using? - Page 2

Black Agnes B Voyage bag. Picked it up a few months back, and I love it. I like the look of loose bags a lot more than really stiff ones (i.e. Jack Spade) .

I have an olive waxwear Jack Spade Warren Street. It's pretty nice, but I wish the bottom was lined with something, like sturdy leather. It always looks slouchy as I carry around heavy items.

Got it from yoox this summer. Not sure which HL collection it's from though (probably SS05).

I've been using the same manhanttan portage msg bag for years, when I got it the twin towers were still standing, I had only seen bags like those in NYC where I got it and progressive trance was kinda fresh. I've grown attached to it so I'll wear it 'till it falls apparts, right now it's still going strong.

Chrome Citizen.

I have a black Timbuk2 Pro Series bag. I like it a lot more than their regular bags because the material is almost weightless, super thin, waterproof, and strong.

I have a couple bags but mostly I end up using a cheap (got it on sale for $12) bag from Uniqlo that I picked up simply because I thought it looked pretty ok and needed a good round town bag when in Tokyo. In Spokane I use it for school, but otherwise there is no reason to have a bag as most of the time I just order stuff online and dont actually do much real shopping in this style hell hole.

It will never fall apart. Or else, by the time it does, the Freedom Tower will have risen and fallen. Portage bags are built like that.

I have one sized for a few notebooks, one big enough for a laptop, and the original shoulder bag. All indestructable.

The plastic buckle that holds the long strap on my Manhattan Portage back broke very early. My Filson bag, on the other hand, is completely indestructable. It looks cool too.

Great, I've grown quite attached to it so this is good news. I must say it survived quite a few adventures unscathed so that's a good sign.

Which colour do you guys think will go with other colours beside black?

I'm interested in these two bags right now, but I'm not sure which one will go with almost everything including suits.

I would avoid the black as it doesn't match as many colors as you think it would. Same reason why black suits are avoided. I'd get the olive or chocolate. That said, I don't think they really wear go that well with suits; leather would complete the look much better.

If you guys were to choose a tie from the choices that I have given for the shirt in that link, which one would you pick? It has to be either of them.

I always thought that the shirt has to match the tie, but maybe I'm wrong.

That Bally messenger bag is beautiful! Those Jack Spade bags are an absolute rip-off for $350, they're not even worth half of that. No offense, but Jack Spade is tired.
