HBO GO + The Wire = ZERO Productivity - Page 3

^ I like how they shoot him in mid-sentence.

I'll waste countless hours at work watching The Wire clips on youtube (I'm doing it right now icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif )

Even though he turned into a snitch (which really pissed me off), Stringer Bell will always be my favorite character. I think it was his business mind that always spoke to me. The other thing that pissed me off, was that little shit Kenard being the one that finally finished off Omar.

Brother Mouzone bitching about his magazines always cracked me up. Slim Charles was another favorite character of mine. One of my favorite scenes is when he kills Cheese. His gun appeared out of nowhere and without hesitation, he put one in his skull.

Damn, I miss this show!

That's for sure. I think I'm going to stop watching at the office because you need to devote every waking second to this thing.

This guy has some great reviews of every episode...

Links to the seasons are on the bottom right.

He really points out tiny details that you otherwise wouldn't have noticed. Makes appreciate the show that much more.

when stringer gets got, its really interesting to note the symbolism. one is he is running up just like he was in real life. also its really interesting if you think about hit, he gets killed by the most "street" character (omar) and arguably the most polished(brother muzzone). his killing parallels his own life in him trying to balance this street life with a legit corporate one, you know?

not my own analysis, read this somewhere but cant remember where.

Why the hell didn't just jump out of one of those giant windows? He was at most three floors up

It doesn't. Completely different shows. The story telling in the Wire is better but I'm also a big fan of Boardwalk. Also, The Wire was a bit preachy, Boardwalk definitely isn't.

What? I'm talking about Stringer Bell's warehouse scene.

Two totally different shows. I love Boardwalk Empire, but there is something about The Wire that makes it stand head and shoulders above Boardwalk.

yup that scene was foreshadowing... wait hold on:

that scene was foreshadowing how Omar learned from experience. Omar was in the same boat (totally outgunned and only way out was to jump). So Omar fucking jumped.

Earlier this week I ordered the entire series. I just got confirmation that it's here in town and out for delivery. Talk about zero productivity. Starting tonight, I will be the most useless person around. Nothing will be done at home except for me watching all 5 seasons, back to back.

I look forward to it. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif
