Looking for a pepper mill

It's time I bought a beautiful pepper mill. I'm open to anything as long as it's not very tall. My parents had a tall one, over a foot long, and it would always tip over.

Perfex Pepper mill. Made in France, cast aluminum. These are the best. I've had mine 13 years and nothing comes close to it for chunky ground pepper, which is the way I like it. Many will do a fine powdery grind.

That's really nice.

$75 from Amazon. Seems a bit pricey for a pepper mill, but that is a thing of beauty. Will buy after I get my bonus check next month.

I also have and highly recommend a Unicorn.
It is highly rated at Amazon...

Perfex also makes a small one for salt and a jumbo one for pepper. But in this case bigger wasn't better. The one shown works the very best. It is a classic in better bistros and especially if you want to adjust it to get chunky pepper. Mmmmmmmmm, the best!

Best pepper mill I have ever owned/used, but it's not really beautiful, at least in classical styling.

I watched this nervous gentleman's review of the Unicorn Magnum. The Unicorn Magnum seems like a popular mill, but I dont like the plastic.

This looks like the front runner so far:
Vic Firth Columbia Pepper Mill

It's built so that the dispensing end is pointing up when resting on the table so that pepper does not fall on the table. The trade off is that dust would collect on the dispensing end.
