Looking for a coffee table that transforms into a dining room table (without breaking the bank)

I moved into a small apartment with my girlfriend. Our kitchen features a counter bar with room for four stools. This is where we eat our meals but we want to be able to have larger parties over for dinner around a real table. Given the limited space in the apartment and availability of a dining counter, it's not practical to have a such a large chunk of our floorspace dedicated to a dining table that will seldom be used.

Something like this would be perfect, but it's quite expensive.

I think what you're looking for is called a convertible table. Anyways, here's a nice table that I found for only $499.00:

This shop has a couple options One Deko


I like the Calligaris Mascotte personally and it seemed well build in the shop.

Yes I have had a look at the onedeko shop and the turn table is the best. its only £595 instore!!! have a look tune table
