Owners of these cars, would guys please comment on pros and cons. I am looking into getting a new car in the next few months. I want four wheel drive though I actually don't need it. I don't want to compare to BMW M3 b/c I think it would have to be compared with the Audi RS5 which has not been released in the US yet.

Car and Driver had a review of the S4 vs. 335i which was good. They favored the S4 in the end.

I have a 2011 S4, spent months going back and forth and in the end I couldnt be happier with my decision, the 335 just looks dated imo, especially the interior, and the rear sports diff. option on the s4 makes a huge diff.

Antoher consideration, the 335 is getting a complete revamp, def. wouldnt buy one before that happens. now with the S5 unfortunatley it still has the v8 (i think) although I thought it was being ditched this year for the same engine as the s4.... if the s5 still has the v8 i would wait til next years mod comes out, they are doing a refresh that looks real sick and the s/c v6 is a thousand times better engine, including the dual clutch trans that comes with it.

oh one last thing, 335's are a dime a dozen, i see atleast 10 a day, booorring as ****, i get stares and compliments on my car everywhere i go.

Of all the cars in current production, price no object, I would be hard pressed to name 10 cars that are more beautiful than the Audi S5

^^^Agreed. S5 hands down in my opinion. I like the dark grey exterior with red interior. (I'm too lazy to look up the real names.)

Audi S5 ... Yes, that's what I'll get. I know the S5 3.0T won't be out until mid-late next year and I'm not sure I want to wait that long, I guess it'll be a V8. Money wise it's a big chunk of change, so I want to pay all my debt (hopefully December :) ) before I take the plunge.

The S5 is sex on wheels, but get ready to deal with carbon build up.

Woops I read it as S4 for some reason. I agree though about the S5 even more now because that's one of the nicest looking cars I have ever seen.

My coworker bought one last month. It's silver. IMO silver is the most boring, nondescript car color and the s5 makes even silver look gorgeous

just an fyi, the engine isnt the onlything changing for the resfresh, the dated headlights are getting upgraded (to full LED everything) and a few other changes. If I were you I would test drive the S4 and S5 just to get an idea of the different feeling between the V8 tiptronic and dual clutch V6 s-tronic. I liked the S5 look a little more when I pulled the trigger last year but enjoyed the sharp feel of the s-tronic supercharged v6, personally, I am going to be trading my S4 in next year for the refreshed S5.

BTW not sure if you've seen it but the new 3-series is ******* hideous, mainly the front.

Depends on your purpose. If purely for cruising and looking good, pick the Audi. I go to the track and chose the 335xi. Based on my experience and the experience of others, the bimmer is a much more balanced car when driven at the limit. The BMW is also better suited to dealing with abuse from track days than the Audi.
