You could say that.
You could complement the competent use of the steady cam and good, clear lighting.
I only watched the first half, but I think I got the idea. It seems to me stuff without a proper narrative has to have even more impressive visuals and any acting has to be terrific. His wasn't, although it probably wasn't easy for him with the camera apparently only a few inches from him, 'pining' him against the door and into the corner - but then that might have been a deliberate stylistic choice and they should have found a way to work with it. The "fingers scraping the window" at the begging particularly didn't convince.
I suppose he was meant to be getting into the house after holding it together after a rough break up or some other bad news? Or maybe I am just being too literal and it is an expression of the raw pain most men feel trying to hold them selves together in today's cruel world. Or maybe someone was just mean about his beard. I wasn't convinced anyway.
The harpsicord music really reminded me of the sort of thing people making films at my high school would use to show a scene was very 'intense' or 'emotionally significant'. The group at my school that made films (that I was vaguely involved with) was pretty good for a high school group, and won a few awards, but it was still just a bunch of teenagers and I can honestly say a lot of what they produced was better than that.
Edit - watched it to the end. Is it supposed to be satirising bad artsy student films? Most of what I said still stands. Mildly amusing but it is not like enough people watch bad short films for there to be much humour in mocking them.
