I asked about the existance of such a thread in 'Quick Questions', but I received no real feedback. Please post everything related to winter coats for the upcoming season in this thread.

Some (probably SF non-approved) items I'm interested in:

LL Bean Heritage Duffle Coat ($225) Please size down.

Canada Goose D'Alpago Bomber ($600?)

dont get too excited on that LL Bean coat - up close it needs some serious alteration before it fits (even after a size down). I had my eye on the blackwatch one last year and while I wear a medium on average the LL Bean small fit me like a family sedan.

I bought a rugby duffle for a bit more and the fit is good. they offer one in charcoal and camel this season; mine's navy from last. would buy again.

ann demeulemeester wool/linen coat. i've been on the fence for a few weeks. from the measurements i've gathered, it looks like i'll need the sleeves shortened. haven't found anything like it though, so i may pull the trigger soon. other suggestions?

i live in the sf bay area, so the winters aren't very cold.

Picked up a 3sixteen duffel off B&S. I'm not exactly sure how these are supposed to fit, was wondering what you all thought. I'm wondering if it's a bit big in the midsection? I'm about 5'10'' 130 and this is a S.

Thanks!

It's a coat... Try wearing it with a sweater and see if it's still too big. I can kind of see what you mean, but I wouldn't sell it just because of that.
