People's success with BB MTM Suits?

Have people here been successful with BB MTM suits? How do they end up? I just bought a gift card for a MTM suit from its current $1000 MTM suit event. Seemed like a pretty good deal since an off the rack 1818 suit is $1000 anyway.

I'm too embarrassed to admit how much I spent on getting a BB MTM blazer made.

Unfortunately I thought I was pretty knowledgable back then but this was before joining SF and educating myself on the finer points. The fella who measured me seemed to know his stuff and noticed my crooked shoulders due to an old rugby injury.

The result probably looked OK to mere mortals out there in the real world but would get slaughtered on WAYWRN. After a few wearings I realised it never felt right. (No waist suppression, sleeves too long and wide, body too long etc.) It has sat in the closet for some time and I only recently got around to having it re-tailored (NOT at BB!) so I will post pics some time in the near future.

My opinion is you could do much better MTM elsewhere but since you got a free voucher I hope you have better luck than me.

I've been thinking of taking the BB plunge too, but I'm also considering Samuelsohn. You can get a fully canvassed Sammy for a lower price than a fully canvassed BB.

They did one for me over 20 years and several owners ago.
I received a full refund for their errors.
