Help with fit on BB Fitzgerald Blazer.

Hi I just bought a Brooks Brothers Fitzgerald blazer yesterday and was wondering if it fit me correctly and what alterations I should get. It was the only OTR, at least partially canvased blazer I could find in my price range that I thought fit my shoulders (I'm 6'3 and very skinny). Also I noticed some loose threads on the garment. Should I return it or is this normal?

Any critiques fellow styleforumers? If you need better pics, I can provide them.

Sleeves a little short but I'd say overall looks pretty good?

what size did you buy? It looks big on you but the sleeves looks too short. Can you post additional pics with better fitting dress shirt tucked in for other members to chime in. Other members have better eyes on fitting than I do.

btw, I have the same blazer and replaced the buttons with smoked MOP buttons. It looks much better.

38R. Here are some additional pics in something closer to an actual dress shirt:

It's hard to tell if the blazer's sleeves are too short or if your shirt just has long sleeves.

It looks like both to me.

Take pictures of you wearing a white shirt tucked in underneath the blazer. I think the jacket looks good, the jacket sleeves are a little short for you.

I'd like to hear the old hands weigh in as well. I see some x-shaped pulling on the front, despite the fact that the OP is clearly not overweight.

I bought a Fitzgerald fit linen/silk/wool blazer (same one?) and had to get the sleeves taken out. It's quite snug, most noticeably in the arms, but I like it quite a bit.

You should also remove the thread holding the vent together. Im not sure if that will prevent you from being able to return it but its hard to tell how a jacket fits when the vent is sewn shut.\

You should try posting a photo of yourself wearing a better dress shirt that fits properly. and tuck it in. What size jacket did you buy? You should consider trying one thats a size smaller in long instead of regular which would probably fit better in the body and give you length in the arms.
