As far as I've seen, the only proof of this practice is from a single farm, doesn't really make any sense for them to be purposefully bloodying the pelts (also, the way PETA slants it, all fur farms of all species must use this same practice because some sadistic ass was videotaped doing it)

I'm considering this Bexley Enfield as a winter boot, other alternatives are the less dressy Katahdins.

Will this kind of thin leather hold up to moisture?
I love high polished captoes, will polish be enough to make the leather resistant to salt and grime? (As I have read that Obenauf dulls the shine, but perhaps you can obenauf everything but the cap and still get the high gloss?)
