Designer for discount - what gives? - Page 2

Going off on a bit of a tangent, but may I ask who makes AX or Armani Exchange, I'm aware it's a company with an Asian manufacturing base, but could anyone specify the name. Second, what is your opinion of the line quality, as compared with ZegnaSport lines or Armani casual pieces? I have an opportunity to stock up on ZS or AX and would appreciate any relevant info. This is from an outlet store, although I believe that has little to do with the subject matter.

It's crap - the absolute worst kind of mallwear.

-I don't think Zegna has a monopoly on Armani Collezioni production. For example, an Armani Collezioni sportcoat from their F/W 2002 collection that I purchased from a first-line Armani retailer (Braun & Co in Vienna) was made by another company.
Maybe a different company holds the European license? I wish I could see that jacket. It would be interesting to know who made it.
