The Shell Cordovan, non-Alden Shoe and Boot Thread - Page 28

Second time outing my Marlow Wingtips, walked over 5km and still no foot issues whatsoever. I cannot believe how comfortable they are. All other shoes I've owned have needed to be eased into rotation, whether they were second hand or not. Also I've fallen in love with the colour. This is my first pair of cordovan, but the sort of inner glow already enthralls me. I wish I could allow myself to wear these every day. (Sorry for the crumpled trousers.)

I think he had a different kind of rubber sole, but I requested the Dainite Sole.

Besides that I don't think there is any other differences.

It only took two months from the time I ordered them to get them.

Agreed.

They typically make about 1200 pairs of shoes\boots a year, and their turn around time for a MTO is about 2 months.

i knew they limited their production which, i think, is their secret to quality fit & finish   but was prepared to wait much longer than that for a dub monk order i have in.

any difference between carmina "navy" blue cordovan and "midnight" blue cordovan?

Also, any Carmina boots or penny loafers (full strap) in blue shell that you offer?

You mean like Carmina vs EG shell? The EG navy shell looks a couple shades from black. Saw the dm in their store and walked past thinking it was just black calfskin until someone stopped to point it out
