you will notice that the cap toe is not the faux cap toe, but an actual extra piece of leather attached to the boot...

Those are awesome!  Blue is my favorite color.

Ah thanks for the heads up. I'm waiting on the renevouter to be shipped to give it a proper polish. Let's see how they come out.

First time to have a bad experience with Meermin - I've ordered 4 other pairs in the last couple of years (calf leather) and they've always been pretty well finished.

Couple of new ones. I think I cheated the thread with the Aldens but nice comparison of Whiskey vs Carmina armagnac

I had a nice year for cordovan footwear:

Carmina Navy Shell jumpers on the Oscar last from the Customization launch.   Sadly the lighting is rough, but the blue still comes through.   In better lighting (or sunlight) the blue shows even better.  I've worn them a few times already and they're my favorite pair.  I've been wanting some navy shell boots for awhile now.

I ordered them through the Carmina website, using the Customization option: https://www.carminashoemaker.us/custom-shoes-men

Overall I was impressed, they quoted 45 day delivery time, and I thought there was no way they would be ready in time for New Years, let alone Christmas.   They shipped them on the 46th day, which is close enough for me.  They were delivered a few days before Christmas!  I saw no defects or flaws (although my eye isn't as trained as some).  It seems some have had issues with their orders recently, but I had no issues with delivery time or with the delivered product.

I used these options:

JUMPER BOOTS 80184 (080184-999-0000)
Skin and color Cordovan && Navy Cordovan
Skin and color Cordovan && Navy Cordovan
Skin and color Cordovan && Navy Cordovan
Skin and color Cordovan && Navy Cordovan
lining Calf Leather && Black
Last and sole Oscar && Dainite sole
fabricacion Double sole with storm welt && Black edge
floron Without Medallion
Eyelets Blind Eyelets
hooks Black hooks
laces Navy Flat shoe laces
Nominated & initials Without name neither initials
special requests
