Mildly interesting post here for all you bowling fans -  I purchased a gently-used pair of Allen Edmond shell cordovan Leeds on eBay and got a good price.  I then had my cobbler re-sole them into bowling shoes. They turned out well.

3 pairs of Burgundy shell, interesting how the color varies on all

C&J for BB boot (which looks almost brown next to these)
AE Randolph (in middle)
AE Kenwood

I already have an older pair of AE Kenwood in Brown shell, I'm debating which of these two burgundy loafers to keep. my Kenwood have broken in wonderfully and they fit great, but the Randolph I just tried on and they seem to work as well. so do I go with the same shoe in different colors or mix in the more formal Randolph?

all things being equal I like a bit of variety, but knowing how my old Kenwood fit is a powerful draw for keeping this pair...

based on the shape of the quarters and the stitching at the inside heel, my guess would've been whichever maker made the vintage florsheim imperial shell ptbs

lovely  ptbs regardless!

x-post from the Viberg thread

Picked up these Mahogany shell boots today. Colour is definitely slightly lighter, with a hint of red undertones, in person.
