Crockett & Jones for Ralph Lauren Cordovan (Marlow, Darlton, Gifford, Garran, Lindrick, McCallum, Rhett) - Page 514

Thanks so much to both of you.

The reason I'm hesitant about a UK8E in the Lindrick is because a US 9D Marlow was much too big, and in theory I would think those two would be roughly the same, no? The Marlows I've tried on have all been within the last year or two, new stock.

Considering also that boots tend to fit larger than shoes on the same size, probably you would be safer going with UK 7.5E
but you could always wear a thick wool socks even with the UK 8E

I would go the route of 1 size down from US/Brannock. If they are slightly big, thicker socks or a thin insole usually works for boots. I would rather larger than smaller size for footwear issues.

Hmm, ok; interesting. Is this across the board with shell? Does anyone have experience with a proper routine do do this? I'm thinking maybe like an hour a day in indirect sun. Are there any special considerations that need be taken?

Light shells get darker in the sun. Dark shell gets lighter in the sun.

This MTO is days away from going into production. There was a last minute pull out.  First come first serve.

Here are the specs:

Crockett and Jones

325 Last

Dark Brown Shell Cordovan (color may be darker than photo above, as there are variations in C&J's / Horween's brown shell)

Double Leather Sole

Storm Welt

Dark Antique Sole Edging

All Eyelets

Price: 583.36 GBP + 30 GBP for US shipping.  The total including shipping comes to approximately $800 with the current favorable exchange rate.  This is a bargain for a boot that would sell for $1000+ if it was being sold here in the USA.

Please PM me if you want to join.
