Yes. I wear plaza tts. The giannis .5 size down were too narrow for me. I wear d width for everything.

More RL Gianni vs Alden Plaza Indy

I personally am with Mr. DV, although there are many aspects of the Gianni that I really like, and I really like the tighter touches of the Gianni, but overall I like the Indy better.

Just due to the questions on size comparisons, I will note that both of these are 10D.

So my new Lindricks fit very well in width in the toe box but I seem to have to tie them very tight.  Does anyone think it's something to be concerned with?  maybe I just have thin ankles and should be happy lol.

I am afraid selling them and getting a size smaller will be too tight in the width, maybe I should get an isole to raise my foot up just a bit.

Thanks for the response. I was hoping the gianni's ran a half size larger like the barrie last since I'm a TTS 12.5. Guess I'll have to take a gamble and try a 12D since I don't R&L sells half sizes larger than 11.5.

Where are you getting your flat waxed laces from? Any place online where it is possible to order Alden's?

I would say the giannis do run a half size longer, it was just the width that was an issue for me. I know most have bought the giannis half size smaller, same as the barrie. I had to order both sizes and preferred the tts, but that has not been the norm from what others have reported.

I emailed Alden direct and asked where to buy them in Canada (told her my existing pair broke) and the lady offered to just send them to me. She ended up mailing me four sets for free.

I've worn both, and im a huge alden guy....
c&j look better out of the box, dressier, very nice color.
aldens are more comfortable and are aging better.
if I could only keep one, the aldens for sure.

Both are nice. I prefer the plaza Indys.

+1, especially if it were in cigar and antique edge; I'll still take MrDV's color 8 boot over the gianni...

Though I'd be delighted with either.

So I like the shape of the Giannis but I dont care much for the color of them. I prefer the height of the Aldens and the color.

The baby of both those boots would be perfect for me

Two different boots to me .. Indy is dainty and dressy looking. Gianni looks like it wants to kick some ass. I prefers my Gianni anyday over the common Indy:D

Hey all - I could use some sizing help.

If I'm a 9.5C in Allen Edmonds, would a 9.5 in the Lindrick work for me? Or do I need the 9?

I would say a 9. I wear a 10D in most (not all) AE lasts and I purchased my Lindrick's in a 9.5.
