The Marlow is splendid. A near must-have for the shell cordovan fan IMO.

I take the Lindrick TTS. Great looking boots!!
Thank you. I ordered both boots tts and .5 size down. Lindricks easy tts. Giannis .5 size down were too narrow near the toes. Tts with thicker socks work perfect.

Says made in England.  At this price point I am not so sure.  $425 when the AE stuff is $475.  I kinda like the Penny but looks like AE to me.

Can any one tell me where to get another pair of Marlow laces?

I actually don't like the Marlow laces, I would try to get something else. They don't hold a knot as well as laces that are more waxed.

I use AE waxed laces in nearly all my dress shoes (including my Marlows). They hold a knot better and last longer than anything else I have used.

^ Good to know. I may go that route on my Lindricks and on some of my boots with speed hooks, as those are cutting through the laces fairly quickly.

I like the Alden flat waxed laces on the boots. See MrDV's Lindrick/Gianni porn pics.

Question. It seems as though even though the Marlow is more available at a lower price than the Alden cigar shoes, some are more inclined to go with the Alden LWB over the Marlow. Can someone explain that to me? Does it have to do with sizing/fit?
^ I have no idea though the styles are different so it may be as simple as that. I have the Alden cigar LWB with dark brown edge. I wish I'd gotten the Marlow even though I have the Lindrick. The shell on the Lindrick is just outstanding. I have shell from Carmina, C&J, Alden and Florsheim (old new stock LWBs). The C&J in my opinion is the clear winner.

katch, both the RL Marlow and the Alden LWB are good shoes, but I consider them completely different animals. They look different, short wing v. LWB, and they each have a unique fit and finish. Best to have a pair of each.

Agree, I also like the laces that come with most AE shoes.
