It was an online order. I called and apparently the inventory did not update the available quantity until after my order was submitted and an order confirmation was emailed. The particularly troubling part is that I was not contacted that there had been an inventory error. Rather, I had to log into the order status page which indicated that the order had been cancelled. I'll try some of the B&Ms tomorrow and hope for the best--I'm sure my chances of finding a pair would be better had I known the order was cancelled on Tuesday when I placed the order. Ugh!
Sheepish silver lining is that the Gianni's I ordered shipped at least :)
