if i had to wear with suit i would without a doubt - still would look better than everyone else shoe/suit pairing. but i wouldnt buy these to wear with a suit.

we've have asked ourselves this question many times and id wear this boot as I many here would wear the marlow wingtip and lindrick boot: primarily with casual pants - cords, jeans, heavy flannel, & chinos.

thumbs-up.gif Thanks, good information. I'm fortunate enough that I pretty much wear jeans exclusively to work with the exception being the occasional chino or a suit when meeting directly with important clients. My RL officer selvedge chinos arrived today, so I'm hoping they will pair well with the Lindrick and maybe this Gianni if I keep it.

Googling it brought up your photo http://www.styleforum.net/g/i/344514/lindrick-w-rrl-chino-jpg/ icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif. That's a great combo fistbump.gif. Are you still rocking yours? You seem to have a good sense of style and an impressive shoe collection. Hope y'all don't mind me sidetracking just a little and asking if that's a double cuff or what that you use on them.

Wondering the same thing. "Gianni boot" and "ralph lauren Gianni" definitely didn't work for me.

I haven't worn my Lindricks with a business suit, like a solid worsted navy or grey, but I've definitely worn them with an odd trouser/SC combo. They look especially nice as long as the trouser has some texture to it. Like NAMOR said, they absolutely could be worn with a suit, but I have much more appropriate "suit shoes" that I would rather wear. I haven't worn the Lindricks with denim yet...

What do you guys do to rejuvenate the dryness of C&J shell? Put on Saphir Reno?

Exactly ... I almost never use wax anymore. Saphir Reno keeps the leather supple ... Dry .. Brush .. Soft Cloth Buff .. Done without altering the nice patina .. nod[1].gif

Shows how important proper eBay titles and labeling are....that's nuts, more than double the total for the exact same boot in the exact same size!
