So has anybody received shipment of the new Cordo Chukka? Someone stated it's on the 325. Could be a staple boot ..

.. Awaiting unlined Cordo Penny Harvard. I went TTs and yep.. It was too large. Back to the Van size for me on this model even though the C&J folks will tell you it's one of their shorter lasts 314.

Well not sure if they fixed it, but the cordovan chukka was actually a Indy boot style. Scroll back a bit to see it.

i dont think the chukka pics are correct. the shoe description is for a indy style boot. boot similar to the RL garran but with a lindrick height shaft.

That's correct. I emailed RL about it and they were not helpful at all. They basically confirmed the Gianni is "not available as pictured" and said I can return the indy style boot if I want. I was hoping they'd tell me how to order the chukka or throw in some type of discount on the indy style. It is a decent boot I'm sure, but I wanted the chukka that was pictured. Also, you may want to note the 13D in Gianni fits wider for me than the Lindrick in a 13D.

The boot's shaft I would say is taller than the Lindrick by a little and it is just more roomy.

I only have my cell phone camera on hand and inadequate indoor lighting, but here are the best pics I can come up with offhand:

Compared to the same size (13D) Lindrick:

Soles of the shoes compared. The Gianni is on the right and the Lindrick is on the left. It is hard to get the perspective correct. To me though the Gianni seems just a tad longer but wider across the foot as well:

Both pairs:

Opposite angle:

The Gianni appears darker to me. Could be the Lindricks have sat on a shelf longer under lights or something before I bought them.

Any additional requests?

I have a pair of Skye 2 cordovan on order. I'm curious how they will compare to Lindrick and Gianni. However I ordered a 13E (UK sizing)  in those since those fit me a little better.

I would think one major difference would be the last, 335 versus the 325 of the Lindrick. Looks like the toe might be a bit more rounded on the 335 last. The other differences being the brogueing, and the fact the Skye2 comes with a Dainite sole where the Lindrick comes with a leather sole.

Thanks icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif. I am familiar with AE and Alden lasts but know very little about Crockett & Jones. Haven't been able to find a very helpful set of descriptions and/or photos of them either. I will probably like the more rounded toe on the 335 I think the brogueing on both look pretty good. I like the thought of the Dainite sole, but I was also thinking it would be more weatherproof as far as rain and snow. From what I've read though, it seems some people are saying Dainite slips more than leather in both rain and snow :-/.
