I know I'm not Namor, but the Skye 2 was £590 including VAT last year. Might have been a price increase since then however. I'd guess that the Harlech is about the same in regards to pricing.

This may have been discussed extensively already, but is the difference between the Sky2 and Lndrick

1 - speed hooks

2 - the broguing near the heel

3. The Sky2 uses the Dainite Sole and The Lindrick uses the Leather Sole.

4. The Sky2 uses the 335 Last, and the Lindrick uses the 325 Last.

I could be wrong but from the pictures of the Sky2 it appears the 335 Last has a more generous toe box than the 325.

Here's a picture of the Lindrick.

All of the above is correct. Another difference, which becomes obvious when you view pictures of the Skye 2 and the Lindrick, is that the Skye 2 lacks the horizontal broguing across the shaft that the Lindrick has.

As for the 335 last, it is very similar to the 325 with the exception of the toe box. I would describe the 335 as a rounder, less pointy version of the 325. Not that the 325 is all that pointy to begin with.

The horizontal broguing is what I meant about the broguing at the heel.  I think I dig speedhooks on a semi-casual dress boot better.  (full disclosure:  i have lindrick)

C&J Harlech and Skye 2

The Harlech is amazing. I had the BB version, but the last is too narrow for me. Spectacular boot in person. Not sure if I prefer the brown of the Harlech or the burgundy of the BB, though.

BB is on 240, shouldn't the BB version be wider

I think 240 is narrower. It definitely feels tighter in the toe box than my RL Lindricks. From researching, it sounds like consensus is 240 is narrower than 341 (Harlech) and 325 (Lindrick). See this thread on AAAC: http://www.askandyaboutclothes.com/forum/showthread.php?118642-Ordering-a-pair-of-Crockett-and-Jones-and-could-use-some-information-about-sizes-compared-to-other-brands

I'v not tried the Harlech in person, however. Just going by what I've read.

The BB boots are absolutely amazing in person. I would buy a pair in a heartbeat if they fit me better.

The way those continue to go up, I'm glad I coughed up for mine 2 years back for, what, $549? ... but I think that was with a sale+kicker.

To any fence sitters - they'd still be worth every penny of the $799 if I was in the market and could spare the dosh.

I like speed hooks too, but they invariably catch-on and tear the seams at the ends of my dress trousers. Even the really rounded, really smooth ones ... sooner or later.
