Crockett & Jones for Ralph Lauren Cordovan (Marlow, Darlton, Gifford, Garran, Lindrick, McCallum,... - Page 137

Size down? Interesting.
I did wear the tts pair and it was pure agony to walk in.

I have 11.5 (my true size) in the shortwing, loafer, and boot. I tried to size down in the loafer but that did not work. At first the loafer will have some slippage, but once the sole breaks in it will move with your foot.

I went TTS 9.5 in the shortwing marlow and it seems to fit well.  I read earlier that some were sizing down and some weren't.  There is a slight amount of room, but I have a narrow foot, and I am not sure if going down to a 9 would help.  Does cordovan stretch much?  If it does I may have to exchange...

IME, shell cordovan doesn't stretch much at all. I got orthotics several years ago and found it much easier to stretch several pairs of calfskin shoes than a pair of shell cordovan shoes.

+1

Same size for all of mine. Though the loafer is a b****h to break. I've had it for a year and I'm still breaking them in...

Inspired by Patek, I have just dropped my Lindricks off to have a topy and a metal toe tap put on. Got some very admiring comments from the cobbler as well smile.gif

I hate when shoes are too big so i would take the smaller and try breaking them in and if its miserable take it to a cobbler and have them stretched. again my .02 im sure there is better advice out there from the shell gods
I went TTS (9D) - 0.5 also = 8.5D in the shortwings. I wish they were just a tad tighter.

Sizing down would make the shoe narrower, so I'm not sure how that would not help. If it is a little long I would have tried half size down if I were you.

I took TTS in the Lindricks. I find they run 1/4 too big, but nothing thicker socks can't help with. 1/2 size down would have been too tight in length - and that you can't stretch.

im surprised so many are going tts with the Lindrick. 325 runs big and also boots tend to run slightly bigger than their shoe counterparts. as long as they are comfortable, i guess

Make sure he uses Vibram or another brand name toppy. The guy I fought them to (Rossis outside of Philly) does a lot of high-end shoes including a $15k pair of gators that he showed me. He also was admiring their construction and asked who made them etc.

Ahh, this is good news as I did go down 1/2 in the Lindrick.  Awaiting delivery.  The PTB seems to be on the 341 and hence shorter and narrower (TTS); can anybody confirm this PTB last?

He actually uses Topy brand topy - the real stuff. I've already had my Marlow wingtips done by him some time ago and they came out very well.

Does C&J still resole if you topy or put Vibram soles on it?

I wore my shoes for 12 hours today. I wore them around for 2 hours a night for a few days and they were so comfortable today. Only slight heel slippage on one foot but they were amazing.

Almost no rolls on yours. I've only worn mine two days in the office and they are already rolling.
