Interesting to know if anyone else has had a similar issue.

My boots are currently at my cobbler getting Vibram low profile half soles. My wingtips and loafer were worn as is.

This, but not all oxfords are balmorals, but all balmorals are oxfords. Balmorals are a subset of oxfords.

I went half size down from my TTS and they fit quite nicely.
did the same and still have heel slippage. fits fine everywhere else. hopefully it will settle after they break in. (crossing fingers)

I had to go look it up and just learnt something new:

the Balmoral is a particular type of Oxford where there are no seams (apart from the toe cap) descending to the welt, a style particularly common on boots.

Thanks!

Congrats, very nice.

Since the C&J's Cordovan tends to be so dry would you recomend applying Saphir Renovator to a pair of these shoes once you first get them?

I'm starting to smell the sweet smell of Cordovan.

Could that be because my Lindricks are on their way?

C&J's last 325 is simply gorgeous, I've two pairs made with it, and this RL model is among the finest I've seen.

The 325 is my favourite and most comfortable C&J last - I have three pairs in this last but it's not going to suit every style of shoe or every foot.

Ty

Based on what I have seen going thruogh this thread it appears as they are dryer than Aldens, so I figured might as well apply some when I first get them.

Might not hurt.
