I also owned a pair of shell Boston loafers (same last as penny:314) and those were also tight. Even when I wore them sockless, they fit too tight. The last was too small, especially in length.
While we are on the subject, I have thoroughly enjoyed my pair. It's become my one loafer both for its versatility and also durability. Loafer on double sole feels like a tank
Np, gl. You wont be disappointed
Also, If it comes time to buy and you are still unsure, I recommend checking out RL on newbury st. They had them when I visited Boston in Sep
great suggestion, man
have you ever worn the Alden LHS? care to share your impressions of that VS Marlow?
can someone please let me know what the consensus is with sizing on the Marlow penny? (TTS or down .5?)
I plan to wear sockless most of the time , fwiw
thank you
For all of the RL cordovan shoes I'm .5 sizes down from my normal (10 vs. 10.5). The wingtips fit great right away - though of course were stiff at first; the tassels a bit tight but eventually fit perfect; the pennies took a little more breaking in - but had I gone with the 10.5's they would have been way too loose.
Haven't been to the Rodeo RL for a while. Did they say all cordovan are excluded or just the wingtip Marlows? Do they have any other cordovan in stock i.e. chukkas?
Got the notice for 40+15% private sale starting 4/27 today in the mail, but it doesn't specify any exclusions.
I'm assuming they should be on sale as they always are. Got my notice for the private sale for the first time the other day, I guess buying 3 pairs of cordovan shoes last year finally got me on their list:)

thanks again
also, anyone interested in an NIB 11.5 Shell Marlow Penny should step to these (not my auction)
cool, but how do you feel about how they stack up to one another? You'd said the Marlow was your only loafer. Is that to say you find it superior to the LHS?
