I would agree that you can enjoyyour shoes with the leather sole for around 10-15 times before you topy and it would be fine. As for the rest of Fritzl's comments - he has yet to provide a legitimate reason as to why you shouldn't topy...

I've found that practically topys have:
a. Enhance my traction on all sorts of surfaces, which include marble, tiles, smooth concrete, pavement etc which i encounter everyday
b. prolongues the life of your shoe as it wears down slower than leather
c. dries much quicker in the rain than a leather sole
d. more cost effective than a full resole. a topy does not inhibit your ability to resole the shoe eventually
e. causes no structural damage.
f. does not feel significantly different - personally i don't find it that noticeable
g aesthetically it is not too noticeable either.
h. i get peace of mind that i do not have to worry about the weather when i select my nice and pristine dress shoes. i just wear what i feel like!

I also apply a toe tap which significantly reduces wear on the toe which significantly enhances the look of the shoe when worn.

Can you get a toe tap applied initially and then get the topy applied later if you decide you want to?

I was asked if an 11D in the Marlow wingtip would fit a foot that is on the borderline between an 11D and an 11E. From my experience, I would say yes. Would the collective wisdom please chime in?

My feet are on the borderline of medium and wide and I wear a 10D comfortably in the wingtip.

weakkkkkkkk, don't know if my old SA still works in Stanford or not as I haven't really bought anything from a polo store in years, they used to be lax about restrictions years ago though. Been waiting for this private sale to pick up a pair

Remember 8 months ago when wingtips and loafers could be had for sub $400 shipped? Ahhh, those were the days

When does the Private Sale start? Should I have gotten something in the mail already? I have always been notified of private sales in the past, but gotten anything recently. i assume i'll need a code.

Haven't been to the Rodeo RL for a while. Did they say all cordovan are excluded or just the wingtip Marlows? Do they have any other cordovan in stock i.e. chukkas?

Got the notice for 40+15% private sale starting 4/27 today in the mail, but it doesn't specify any exclusions.

I don't know why they would be excluded now, I picked up a pair last year for the 40%+%15 off.
