Fit is paramount, if it fits very well...keep it this way.

the pinstripes should line up...the only reason they shouldnt is if they didnt have enough cloth...or they arent good tailors...

A stripe doesn't have to match at the shoulder seam.

Well, what does a Savile Row-trained tailor say about matching pinstripes?

Another question about the vest posted by @Fortunato:

Why is the back of this vest made from the same fabric as the front?  All of my vests have backs made from different (lighter weight solid color) fabric than the front.

Why are you concerned about the stripes not lining up?  No one (except you and your cleaners) will ever see that seam.

Well I'm not a savile row trained tailor, but I am a Savile row trained manager of tailors.

hello, and many thanks for all your answers !

1. this was a vest ( Pics ) made for my wife.
2. Front and back, is the same cloth, always we do it like this. i find - it looks good, the backside thing is the material is solid, warmer and it does not wrinkle as the usual thin material! by sitting and driving car it looks without jacket from getting wrinkled! my father in law can even tailor this way. hope my english is understood.
