I would go oxford material in light blue or a warm white.

I know it has to be heavy, but I'm torn between OCBD or herringbone semi-spread.

I would definitely do an OCBD, but that's just me. I tend to think overly textured shirts like herringbone get a bit tacky. Great for suits and sportcoats, but not so much for shirts. Just my opinion though.

Just came in via Fedex today. Loving it...

Really like the texture and the flecked pattern on this fabric:

I didn't want to bias opinions, but it came from here:

Not sure why the image is rotated. Oh well. It took 16 days from ordered to delivered.

Does anyone here have any experience with Magee Tweed Jackets? I'm interested in picking up a Donegal jacket and they seem to have some reasonable prices. Any idea if they would be half / fully canvassed, general construction quality etc? Prices seem to be reasonable which might suggest at least half canvassed?

I have only dealt with a couple, but I do enjoy the quality of their jackets

Magee are decent RTW, but I would think are fused like almost all RTW.  They off-shored production of their tailoring to Morocco a few years ago.  Their Donegal tweed is excellent in my opinion, you can buy it direct from their site in cut lengths.

Did you purchase from their website / new, or were they eBay items / pre-owned? Any pics?
